The range was reimagined in 2019 bringing the five core attributes into focus. Forge Watches is proud to offer a collection of Seiko 5. We believe that, for the money, these watches are hard to beat. The Seiko 5 represents an entry into the mechanical watch world, it could be your daily beater, or it could be the watch you take fishing, it makes a great desk diver too! Seiko 5 could be your first automatic or could be found in the case of the most avid collector, most watch enthusiasts have come across a Seiko 5.

The SRPD watches are a traditional sports watch, perfect for every day wear, whether at work or play. Larger than the field watches, SRPDs are closer to a dive watch, but not excessive in size at 42.5 mm. The SRPD is a reliable and useful watch with both a uni-directional diver’s bezel and day-date complication. The automatic mechanical movement, Seiko’s 4R36 calibre, means you never have to worry about batteries again, and you get to wonder at it through the new display case-back. The lugs are drilled on the new Seiko 5 to allow for easy strap swaps, when a bracelet is not right for the occasion.

This particular SRPD goes through an extra process to improve it’s hardness. Although the Seiko technique is kept secret, generally the stainless steel has a titanium-chromium coating applied electrolytically which improves it’s hardness and corrosion resistance, giving the steel that recognisable gunmetal grey colour.

Forge Watches is an Authorised Dealer for Seiko, so purchasing with us comes with a Seiko 3 year warranty. Your watch’s serial number is registered with Seiko before shipment. Purchasing outside Australia only ties the watch to a one year warranty.
